the brave new world of open tuning -

i love this live acoustic version of wild horses, it really illustrates the beauty of keef’s open g tuning.  you can hear it particularly well before the rhythm section comes in, on the Bm and Am chords.

i’ve played this song hundreds of times with regular tuning and it’s nice.  but i just recently got inspired to learn it correctly in open g after reading keef’s book and it’s like he describes, a whole new world of the guitar has opened up.
